Q. Why did you choose this area?
I have lived in Surrey and surrounding areas most of my life, and I used to have a beautiful 5 bedroom house in nap hill Woking.
I love this area & used to live in my home with my wife and children.
I had a motorbike shop which I owned & ran. My eldest son was into motorbike racing so this gave me an opportunity to support and sponsor him in some of his races!
Q. How did you move to Fangrove Park?
Along with my motorbike shop, I also started helping out maintaining Fangrove Park as I lived nearby. One thing lead to another and I ended up managing the park!
After 2 years working on the park and my children had all moved out our family home to start their own lives, my wife & I decided to down size to a more manageable home, save some money and so we ended up purchasing a home on the park.
It definitely turned out to be the best decision as since I had already worked on the park I knew the park, the area & the lovely residents very well.
Q. What are the good points of being on the park?
My wife & I have had many years enjoying our life on park, it very well-located & is surrounded by beautiful wildlife and literally 1 mile down the road -you are in a busy high street.
This was a major plus point for us & also the park is very safe for us & our grandchildren to visit.
So basically you are close to all neighbours but the hedges that surround the plots enable you to have your space & privacy as well.
The park has reindeer, small mud deer and stunning parakeet that have also made the park their home during certain months of the year. Those aren’t only the different animals that reside on the park though – I share my home with 3 characteristic tortoises as well!
Q. Anything else you would like to share with us?
A few years back I took a break from working on the park but I started missing being actively involved on our park & therefore I recently rejoined the team on the park!
Thank you Lance for sharing this lovely snippet with us & we are really happy to have residents like you on our parks.
