I had known Bruno since I was about 17 since we both work in the same industry (Hair dressing)
Can you believe, we actually got together when I was about 31!Once Bruno had decided to retire we decided to sell our five bedroom house in Bristol and move to Woolacombe.
We always wanted to move to North Devon later in life. When we drove around the area, we drove past Tranquillity Park and decided to have a look at what was on offer and we booked an appointment.
We really liked what we saw. The views from the park are amazing – panoramic scenes looking out to sea, we viewed the park homes on offer and immediately fell in love with the Omar Icon Park Home – a spacious open-plan home.
After we moved onto the park, Bruno and I have settled in perfectly along with our lovely dogs Doogle and Roxy.
The stunning Woolacombe beach is only a 10 minute walk and we just spend time walking the dogs and body-boarding along the coast.
I still work as a hairdresser and as a nanny. I always look forward to the Christmas period where I work as an ice rink temp helping others skate and also get time to show my love to one of my favourite sports.
We have made numerous friendships with other residents on the park.
Seizing the moment
I didn’t even know, Bruno had secretly made plans with our neighbours to propose to me!!So, on the 1st of May, he decided to propose during a dinner at our neighbour’s home. It was absolutely lovely!
Making it official
We got married a few weeks ago. It was a very intimate family wedding with my dear daughter officiating as the registrarMy son gave me away, Bruno’s two sons were best men, my granddaughter was the flower girl.
Our neighbours who are also are our extremely close friends were our witnesses to the wedding.
We followed it up with a meal then spent time in a beautiful spa hotel in Gloucester
Julie.
We wish you both a long and happy married life! Thank you for being our residents and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.
