On 16th August 2024, Omar Park Homes held an open day and our head office sales team was invited along. During our visit we were lucky enough to get a tour around the factory and see homes being built. It came as a big surprise to learn that all external doors and windows are made by Omar Park Homes on site rather than bought in!
Our team got the chance to see the external doors and windows being made, the timber wall and floor frames being put together, along with these being filled with the most energy-efficient insulation. As we progressed through the factory, we watched the homes come together at different stages. We also learnt that Omar Park Homes also makes their own furniture, which helps to keep costs and build times down.
As we got to the end of the factory tour, we saw the finished homes undergoing their final quality control checks. All the homes are fully tested before they leave the factory to make sure that all is in working order. Once the quality control checks are complete, the home is then carefully wrapped and stored in the yard, waiting to be collected and delivered to the park.
Omar Park Homes also had several models of homes available for us to look around and the team took full advantage to look in and around all the models on offer so that we could help answer customer queries.

Lucy, Senior Sales Support Manager said that “it was a great opportunity for the team, who are fully office based, to get out and see the product we sell. Not only does this help with our own understanding of the product, but it also gives us more confidence when discussing with customers and potential customers. My favourite home of the day was Ikon due to its modern feel and neutral tones.”
Sally, a sales administrator, said that she couldn’t believe that the homes by Omar Park Homes are all made with hands and not by machines/robots. “My favourite home from my visit was the Anniversary due to its unique layout and having plenty of space.”
Daisie, another of our sales administrators, said “It was great to see inside different sizes of homes and to get a real feel of what park home life can be like. Being able to look around the warehouse was an incredible experience, especially finding out that Omar Park Homes make their own windows and window frames. My top home of the day was the Ikon due to its modern feel and the open plan kitchen diner.”
After our tour, we got the opportunity to meet the Omar Sales team and put faces to voices. Beth kindly showed us the bespoke build room, where there were samples for us to touch all fixtures and fittings that go into the home. So much detail has gone into this, you can move the work surface to sit on top of the cupboard doors to see how they will match!
It was truly a great day and we all came away having learnt something new about the park homes we sell.
To end our day, we visited Rookery Drove Park to see the completed homes on the park. This visit has further boosted our knowledge, helping us assist both our current and potential customers in understanding the homes and park life.
