We had a quick catch-up with them to see how life has been so far?
It’s been a lovely 18 months living in Saltmarshe Castle.
We moved from Birmingham, where we spent most of our lives, and raised a family in a lovely 3-bed semidetached house.
I did office work and my husband ran his own legal business.
We decided to retire and downsize. A friend who lived in a local caravan park knew of Saltmarshe Castle park and we asked him to visit the park on our behalf.
After much deliberation, we decided to drive down to view the park and we instantly fell in love.
After viewing the show homes one particular home stood out – it was the Willerby Hazlewood which was just perfect.
The park has so many great factors and we definitely wanted a plot with a view
The park manager showed us the perfect spot with endless views of the surrounding fields.
We finally decided on the plot which we felt had one of the best views on the park.
We ordered the Willerby Hazlewood and the rest is history.
We love residential park home living and have made so many friends.
We enjoy helping out, we have amazing neighbours and the park is full of genuinely friendly people.
I am extremely fond of the café and the hairdressers on the park! it is so convenient to get everything you need at your doorstep.
My husband loves to play golf at Sapey Golf and Country club, he will go golfing through the day and then meet me after in the clubhouse for lunch. The club is a great place to meet friends and family, especially for Sunday dinner!
The park is safe secure friendly and the family is not too far…absolutely perfect
Our popular Saltmarshe Castle Residential Park is located in a peaceful & breath-taking woodland setting & offers the ultimate in peace and tranquillity with a very friendly & close-knit community.
This park has been created in the grounds of Saltmarshe Castle, a former country house and estate first owned by the Higginson family and then through the generations to the Barnaby family in 1946.
Many parts of the outer walls and turrets still remain, together with various outbuildings, stables, ice house and cider wheel, making this park a unique place to live.
