Life starts at 70 : Park Home Living

We caught up with the lovely Jean Dezille and Richard Whitaker who recently moved into our Westover Residential Park in Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire.

We found each other a little later in life and lived most of their lives in Pembrokeshire.

We are both retired and I worked in the civil service- social security- for 15 years.

We used to rent a quaint bungalow but as we got older we wanted to simplify our life.

We researched park home living and we found that these homes are good value for money as well as offering easy maintenance and top security for the perfect forever home.

Richard had previously lived in a residential park in his earlier years and loved the park living lifestyle and knew that a good residential park would tick all the boxes we were looking for.

So when we started looking around for good residential parks in the area, we found that Westover Residential Park was actually tailor-made for us – it was perfect!

We purchased a lovely, brand new Omar Westbury Park Home – we loved its design and the colour scheme and home decor.

Since moving onto the park we feel settled and have found that all residents are extremely friendly and everyone has made us feel so welcome.

They go out of their way to say hello and let you know they are there for you! It is such a warm feeling and we are sure that we have found our forever home.

It is such a beautiful area and there is so much to do. We are extremely competitive and enjoy playing lawn bowls.

We are so happy that we could downsize and still in the same area and therefore be able to frequent all the places we always have and even continue playing at our original club!

Thank you so much for our lovely chat Jean. We wish you lots of happiness and health in your forever home. Thank you for choosing Wyldecrest Parks and our Westover Park.

About Westover Residential Park

The park is self-contained, so will provide an intimate community atmosphere. Typically residential parks can be a lot larger, so Westover Park is a rare find.

A communal parking area and seating area are adjacent to the feature pond. A tranquil setting to sit and read the paper whilst interacting with fellow residents.

Security and peace of mind have been carefully considered; the Park has an electric security entrance gate. Residents only are the key holders.

The Park is for 50’s and over only. (Family and friends with children are of course welcome to visit)

A strong community is building with a mixture of couples, single men and women, from largely England and Wales (approx. 50/50). Likewise Whitland has a strong community with an annual festival, rugby club, social club and lots of hobby clubs too.
