Buying a New Residential Park Home – My Journey

We recently caught up with the lovely Mr & Mrs Adams who have recently put a deposit down for a beautiful new residential park home in our Saltmarshe Castle Residential Park

They opted for our Part-Exchange Service which means Wyldecrest Parks will be selling their property on their behalf.  Their property is now on the market, click to view it here – https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-71426347.html

Our unique part-exchange scheme – In order to make your move onto one of our prestigious parks as smooth as possible, we can offer to buy your current property in part exchange for your new Park Home. Our Part Exchange Scheme is unique to us and is designed to take away the stress, inconvenience and added work of selling a property, leaving you more time to enjoy planning your golden years.

Mr Adams used to live in a lovely detached bungalow in Kent (Edenbridge) in a semi-rural location and close to the lovely towns of East Grinstead (approx. 6 miles), Tunbridge Wells (approx. 6 miles) which all provide a wide range of shops, restaurants and recreational facilities; including a short 2 minute walk to the popular Greyhound public house from the property

Let’s hear Mr Adam’s journey of buying a residential park home

We were looking at moving to a park home for a while now. We wanted to downsize on the garden size but keep the same bungalow style! We had been searching actively on the internet & also visited a few parks.

We definitely wanted two things with our park home – we wanted it to be a bungalow style construction (so basically single-floor)

Also, we wanted the home to have some lovely views and not be squeezed in with loads of homes; you know a clinical, squeezed in sort-of look!

We live with my mum who is turning 90 soon & she is moving with us to our park home as well!

So we actually started looking in the Devon area but then we came across Saltmarshe Castle Park and we liked what we saw. My daughter arranged a visit & we went and met David Masters.

A lot of things contributed to us liking this park. First, it was the picturesque surroundings and we could see that the park has a very vibrant & active community on site. There is a shop-restaurant on-site as well where we met with some residents & we could visualise living in the park with them since all of us were a similar age.

Plus our daughter lives in Warwickshire so it’s quite close to her. She recently gave birth to our lovely grand-child and we are so excited at the prospect of being close to them and spend more time with them.

Saltmarshe Castle Park has another Wyldecrest Park – Sapey quite close-by. Sapey is a beautiful golf club which has a lovely restaurant and organises events regularly. We look forward to spending some evenings there as well. Even though we are not golfers we are big badminton fans and we are hoping to enjoy some games in our lovely new park home soon.

So we are just waiting for our home to be sold & then we can start the next chapter in our life!

Saltmarshe Castle Residential Park is located in a peaceful and breath-taking woodland setting, approximately 2.5 miles north of the town of Bromyard on the borders of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It is situated with south facing views overlooking the Bromyard Downs and Malvern Hills.

This park is situated in the endless grounds of Saltmarshe Castle, a former country house and estate first owned by the Higginson family and then through the generations to the Barnaby family in 1946.  Although the Castle itself was demolished many years ago, in 1955, parts of the outer walls and turrets still remain, together with various outbuildings, stables, ice house, and cider wheel, making this park a unique place to live.

Bromyard, the nearest town, is where you will find all your local amenities, doctors, dentist, optician and vets along with the local shops.

The area is renowned for its scenic beauty and many ancient towns and cities, including Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester and Leominster, all accessible by the local bus services in Bromyard.

Within the local surroundings of this gorgeous and historic park, you can find a wide range of farms, many of them selling locally grown fresh produce and ingredients, as well as some of the most amazing centres, family restaurants with homemade food and handcraft gift shops.

We have an open Day at Saltmarshe Castle Park on 26 & 27 May & have the following homes to view & buy –

You can site ANY Park Home you want and these stunning homes are available to VIEW & BUY!
