A busy stand and plenty of questions
One thing became clear very quickly: people arrive at an event like this with very different plans. Some are only beginning to look at park homes. Others already know the area they want and are comparing options. A few simply want to understand whether park-home living could work for them before taking things any further.
That made the event useful for us too. We had the chance to explain how our parks are spread around the country, what day-to-day life can be like on a residential park, and what people should think about when choosing a location and a home.

The stand also carried a milestone we are proud of: 25 years in the industry. Our displays looked back to 2001 and gave visitors a quick sense of how much the business has grown since then.

We also brought a little extra fun to the stand with the chance to win a free three-day holiday. The competition gave people another reason to stop, say hello and find out more about us.

It worked well because it was simple. Visitors could talk to the team, enter the competition and then carry on exploring the show. For us, it opened the door to conversations that might otherwise never have happened.
What people wanted to know about park-home living
Many conversations came back to the same practical themes: where our parks are, what sort of homes are available, how residential parks differ from holiday parks, and what it is actually like to make the move.
Those are sensible questions. Park-home living is a different type of home ownership, and people want to understand the details before deciding whether it suits them. Good conversations are what made the event worthwhile
So, how did it turn out? For us, the value was in the conversations. We got to meet people at different stages of their search, answer questions in person and put faces to the Wyldecrest name.
There is only so much you can learn from browsing online. Sometimes it helps to sit down with someone, explain what you are hoping for and ask the questions as they come to you. That was exactly what this event allowed us to do.
