That is why when choosing a potential setting for every Wyldecrest Residential Park, we start by ensuring the location is good and convenient for you.
How close will your home be to a daily needs shop? Is there a bus stop right next to the park and a train station nearby?
Our ever-popular Saltmarshe Castle Park (Herefordshire) has a bus which leaves from inside the park! At Gattington Park (Lincolnshire), the bus stop is right outside the park. The local train station is less than a 10-minute walk from our Westover Park (Wales)
Is there a restaurant, café, pub nearby so that residents can spend some quality time?
Our Fangrove Park (Surrey) has a community centre in the park, so does St Dominics (Cornwall). Saltmarshe Castle even has a shop-café-restaurant inside the park.
Are there fields/nice walks nearby or maybe the beach/coast? Are there good town centres or nice villages in close vicinity?
Penwortham Park (Lancashire) is about 3 miles from Preston town centre. The beautiful Quarry Rock Park is about 1.5 miles from the famous Bath city centre
The well-established Orchard Park (West Sussex) is about 4 miles from the Littlehampton beach & East beach. It is also about 4.5 miles from the ever-popular Arundel Castle.
These are just some of the questions which are carefully considered when evaluating where the next Wyldecrest Park will be.
For any Wyldecrest Parks’ new park development project we always listen carefully to feedback regarding our customer’s needs & aspirations. It helps us to understand exactly what factors need to be considered.
A case in point is our latest premium development Rookery Drove Residential Park, which we chose to develop in Suffolk.
Suffolk s a county filled with natural beauty, bordered by 50 miles of glorious coastline, full of charming villages and medieval towns. Popular places include Newmarket in the Constable Country, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, among others.
Suffolk emerged as one of the top 5 areas which we get asked for by our prospective customers (we have two other parks in Suffolk but they are completely sold out). This premium new development is located in Suffolk next to the tranquil village of Beck Row. It has a bus stop at less than 2 minutes’ walk from the park. The nearest Grocery store is about 0.8 miles, pub less than half a mile. Then the lovely town of Mildenhall is about 3.5 miles & Bury St Edmunds about 17 miles.
Also, it is important to bear in mind that it’s not just present amenities that matter, but future ones as well. Plans for hospitals, public transportation, shops or other public infrastructure are very important too. A good location will be an important factor to ensure that your park home will maintain or appreciate in value.
At any age, the need for being independent is precious & we like to hold on to it as much as possible. However when we think about downsizing for our semi-retirement /retirement years – it is worth keeping in mind that we need to plan for the future and ensure that our most basic needs are well met in case they are ever needed. Being able to let public transport take the strain if you can’t, or no longer want to drive everywhere; knowing that your basic health needs can be catered for locally; having places to socialise on your doorstep. These are all extremely important considerations.
On our part, a lot of due diligence matters go into making sure about the legal and technical elements of building a new residential development. We need to make sure that the appropriate planning permissions are in place and the development fits in well with the surrounding area. At all times we aim to ensure our customers have everything they need very close by when choosing any new development location.
